Year Abandoned: Early 1960's

Location: Take nm 217 south from old 66 turn right at juan tomas rd. About 2 miles, just past where the pavement ends.

​​

​About: Juan Tomas was named after a local Rancher and established in 1870. Due to lack of water the town became abandoned in the early 1960's. The church is well over 100 years old and is currently being restored on private property.

Remains: A few buildings and a church. All on private property. Please be respectful to all NO TRESPASSING SIGNS.
