Year Established: 1880

​

Year Abandoned: 1931

Location: Located 20 miles north of Magdelena on Cibola National Forrest Road 354.

About: Settled in 1880 under the name Santa Rita but was changed soon after and the post office opened in 1890 under the name Riley.

 

Remains: The Santa Rita Church, the old schoolhouse built from stone and what appears to be crumbling adobe homes and or stores.
